Tender Mercy

My oldest son will be coming home from Mexico in three short weeks. He has been gone for two years serving as an LDS missionary in and around Monterrey. Interestingly enough, my own step-father served in the same mission 60 years ago. Recently, my son just “happened” to meet a woman whom my father baptized while serving in Mexico.

She still had the photo of him, with a had-written message on the back dated December 24, 1952.

And even though my step-father doesn’t remember having this experience, now suffering with Alzheimers Disease, my son will never forget it.

Neither will I.
